Our client, a Japanese development-oriented company, is a worldwide leader especially in the field of testing equipment for semiconductors and FPDs (flat panel displays) with global subsidiariesin the United States, China, Taiwan, South Korea and Germany and around 1.500 employees worldwide. The company’s target is to act closely with their clients for simplifying the order receiving and maintenance system. Based on that philosophy our client made a decision to move their European headquarter from Dresden to Munich. Therefore we are searching for an Application Engineer (m/f) who will be able to start at the new Munich office.
Application engineer task
Working with the application engineering manager and sales team to resolve technical questions or develop solutions for the customers
Serving as a key technical contributor for software and products for integrated test systems
Presenting the company’s products to the customers together with the sales team
Creating offers and have contract negotiations with business partners for general agreements
Testing and qualifying the integration of the test systems
Maintenance, improvement and optimizations with of the products
Observing and analyzing the potential customers, markets and competitors
Supporting special marketing activities, such as fairs or trade shows etc.
Controlling and supporting the projects according to the customer’s needs
Requirements
University degree or apprenticeship in microelectronics engineering, electrical engineering and industrial engineering are preferable
At least 2-3 years of relevant working experience in semiconductor or electrical industry
Very good German and Englsh skills
Very good MS-Office and PC knowledge
Strong attention to details, structured and efficient way of working
Willingness to travel
Self-employed working style and good organizing skills
Ability to work in a team, fast learner and flexibility
Very good communication skills
Preferable in addition: experience with testing equipments for the semiconductor industry is preferable
